The Last Giant King

He was as mighty as a hundred men,

The battle-sweat of his passage was a boiling river

His great sword could split a mountain in two!

The greatest and noblest of all Sky-kin,

He who feasted his people on dragon flesh and

drank from the horns of demon lords

When in curse-fury he slew his own kin

Took to wife Underhill queen

Fathered monsters and sat down upon his murder-throne

he was trapped, wyrded, warded, banished into darkness

No more did his victory songs crash against cloud-mantle

no more did his children fight and rule in all places

the greatest most terrible king, vaulted in deeps

The Last Giant King
